I have always had a creative passion as I grew up taking custom drawing “orders” from my elementary school classmates, pulling things from the recycle bins at my parents’ office to make pencil holders for their desks, and even setting up a mini arts and crafts shop in the warehouse for employees and delivery drivers to visit (little known perk of having small business owners as your parents). Constantly creating things from a young age has made “I’m bored” turn into “I wanna make something,” which has led me to pick up all sorts of crafting skills from using YouTube to teach myself how to crochet with my college roommate all the way to winging it when I taught myself how to embroider. Something I’ve noticed while teaching myself a wide range of skills is that it’s often difficult to find patterns and instructions without an overwhelming amount of mysterious symbols and technical terms that mean absolutely nothing to a beginner. It truly felt like finding a needle in a haystack as I looked for patterns shortly after teaching myself how to cross stitch, which is what brings us here. If I can help a new beginner find a pattern or instructions tutorial that actually makes sense, I absolutely will. This blog site is dedicated to logging every step of my creations: the idea, the planning, the process, and the final creation. So, whether you’re a self-taught beginner, an experienced crafter looking to gain a new skill, or someone who’s trying out a new hobby to see if you’ll stick with it, I’m here to help you find YOUR needle in the haystack!! Now let’s get crafting!! 🙂
